Jess,

Executive Director (she/her)

Jess joined Oasis in March 2016 to help launch the innovative partnership with Mall of America, where she provided onsite support to young MOA employees. Jess became Oasis' program manager in 2017 and has since moved into a program director role to provide increased strategic direction to Oasis' expanding programs. She works most closely with Oasis' housing and employment initiatives. Jess brings 15+ years of experience working with youth programs and has an MA in public affairs at the Hubert H. Humphrey School.

Jess is honored to work with young people on a daily basis and seeks out opportunities to help them recognize their awesomeness. She is committed to working collaboratively with community partners to develop and implement strategic solutions to end youth homelessness.

Jasmyn, Director of Programs (she/her)

Jasmyn Green, Director of Programs, oversees Oasis's Agency Drop-in Center and Outreach Response Programs. Ms.Green is Oasis’ most tenured employee, having been with us since 2014 as our lead case manager. Jasmyn has an extensive history working with youth, starting her career as an outreach worker with District 202/StreetWorks, and going on to work at Lutheran Social Services, Salvation Army, and Face 2 Face. She quickly became a leader in the outreach community, using her expertise and connections to create the “Guide to the Streets” for youth and young adults. Jasmyn is a fierce advocate for youth, bringing 15 years of direct service work to her leadership position. Ms.Green is part of several community efforts that focus on the importance of racial equity and how inequalities create youth homelessness in Minnesota.

Ms.Green is also an amazing teacher, she continues to share her knowledge and skill with the youth-serving community as a trainer and advisor at Oasis and in the community.  When not working, Jasmyn spends time with her son, Marrion, who is her world; or with her family. After all, she is the oldest of seven!

Lateese, Director of Housing & Employment

(she/her)

Lateese joined Oasis in November 2023 as Director of Housing & Employment. She comes to us from Catholic Charities, as the Program Manager II of Higher Ground Shelter in St. Paul where she was responsible for 264 emergency shelter beds in Ramsey county. She brings to Oasis 15+ years of experience working with individuals who are unhoused and living with mental illness. Lateese has low-income property management experience for adults and youth. She has a background in scattered site case management and is familiar with subsidies such as GRH, SRO, VASH, HUD.  She has a strong history in management and is known for modeling the way.

Lateese is very passionate about helping others. She has a great rapport with various community partners in both Ramsey and Hennepin County. 

She loves to learn and share her knowledge and resources. She is a mother and grandmother who enjoys DYI projects such as refurbishing furniture. When she is not busy with work and life she enjoys writing, listening to music and traveling.


Alexie, Mall of America Program Employment Manager (she/her)

Alexie joined the Oasis team in early 2022. She has over a decade of knowledge with Mall of America across multiple levels and departments working directly with frontline team members. She is excited to take her depth of knowledge to further the partnership between Oasis for Youth and MOA. Alexie is extremely passionate about guiding youth along their individual journeys for them to become their best selves. She believes in leading conversations with empathy, honesty, and an open mind.

When not working, Alexie can be seen catching theatre around the Twin Cities, coaching high school Speech, and visiting Disney World. She loves movies and anime and Asian dramas. Any opportunity to travel she will take. She is always in search of a good story.

Nubia, Drop-In Program Manager (she/her)

As a young Latina immigrant, I struggled to navigate the support systems in the State, often without the proper guidance. That is when my love and passion for youth social work was born. I bring to Oasis over 20 years of combined personal and professional experience in advocacy, counseling, outreach, support, and empowerment. 

Most recently working with Bloomington Public Schools and the WIC Program, offering my experience and knowledge to counsel, support, guide and empower young people and young mothers and families. I am excited and honored to be joining the wonderful team at Oasis and hope to add to the vibrant energy and positivity of our agency.  

When I am not working, I love spending time with my kids, we enjoy junk food (a bit too much), movies, road trips and camping. 

Blaine, Outreach Program Manager (he/him)

"As a member of the Oasis team since 2020 Blaine has thrived in combining his educational expertise, professional experience, familiarity with the service area, and the intersections of his identity to connect with youth and support the Oasis crew!

A graduate of the University of Minnesota where he designed his own degree entitled, "Intersectionality; Critical Analysis for Social Justice.” Blaine has over ½ a decade of experience working in the non-profit sector directly serving youth with a focus on the BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities.

Outside of work Blaine can be found exploring his artistic creative endeavors, and building his epic Power Rangers collection!"

Taylor, MOA Employment Case Manager (she/her)

Taylor joined the Oasis team in early September 2021, working as the employment case manager at the Mall of America. Taylor received her Bachelor’s of Social work from Concordia University- Wisconsin & obtained her Master’s of Social Work from the University of St. Thomas and St. Catherine University in 2019. Her work experience ranges from children to adult case management, but her passion resides in helping adolescents/young adults. She enjoys empowering young people and helping them reach their fullest potential in all aspects of life.

Taylor has previous experience working with young people at The Bridge for Youth, back when they operated an emergency shelter out in Chanhassen. Based on her work experience there, it was enlightening, challenging, rewarding, and solidifying that this was the population that she wanted to work with the most.

When Taylor isn’t working, you can usually find her playing computer games, watching anime, reading, doing photography, or spending time with her parents. Taylor is also passionate about traveling, both domestic and international. What she most enjoys about traveling is experiencing the cultures, new cuisine, and meeting people of that area. A fun fact about Taylor is that she is adopted, meeting her biological mother in the spring of 2010 & most recently meeting her biological father in December of 2017.

Adam, Housing Program Manager (he/him)

Adam joined Oasis as a Drop-In case manager in September of 2021. Adam uses his love for bicycles, music, video games, and food to connect with people, and he is excited to help provide support to the youth that visits Oasis’s drop-in center. Prior to Oasis, Adam worked at Full Cycle Bike shop where he started as a Street Outreach Worker before transitioning into a role managing their youth employment opportunities. He looks forward to using the connections he has made during his time at Full Cycle to expand the networks of the youth he supports.

In his free time, Adam enjoys exploring Minneapolis with his partner and their 1 ½-year-old son. He also enjoys gaming when he can and listening to music (he’s always looking for recommendations). Adam loves burritos; he could eat them every day.

Oasis Sherman, Peer Youth Advocate (she/her)

Graduated from Richfield High School in 2019. Joined the Oasis team as a staff member in July 2022. Oasis is our 1st paid Youth Advocate, supporting her peers and the Drop-in program. Oasis leads the Oasis for Youth, Youth Advisory Board. Oasis also serves the Hennepin County YAB and the Youth homelessness demonstration project (national efforts) that focuses on Youth experiencing homelessness.

When Oasis is not working, she enjoys spending time with her 2 baby girls, family, traveling, site seeing, and dancing. Oasis's dream is to have a multi-million-dollar corporation that creates change for the BIPOC and homeless community. 


Ellie Malmon-Andrews (she/they), Outreach Case Manager

Ellie joined the team as a school and community case manager in March 2023. Their previous work experience includes children’s mental health case management and youth programming in the parks. Ellie holds a dual BS degree in Urban Studies and Psychology from the University of Minnesota. They are passionate about building safe and supportive community networks and are excited to join this amazing team working to meet youth where they’re at. Ellie believes that young people are their own best advocates and enjoys empowering them with the support and tools they need along the way.  

When she’s not working Ellie likes to make art, cook with family and friends, and rock climb. 

Jorge Omana Palma (he/him), Outreach Case Manager

Jorge joined Oasis at the end of July 2023. He pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree from Gustavus Adolphus College and graduated in the Spring of 2021 with an Education Degree. Since graduation, he completed a year as a 1st grade teacher! Although he has a passion for teaching, he also shares a passion for helping others. He is excited to join an amazing community dedicated to uplifting youth and being a pillar of support in their corner.  

He is a coffee and boba tea fanatic. Jorge likes to keep himself busy, but if he has free time, he enjoys reading, watching anime, enjoying time out in nature, or spending it with his family and cats!  

Jessica Cimbura (she/her) Drop-In Case Manager

Jess joined the Oasis for Youth team as a Drop in Case Manager in June of 2023. She comes to Oasis for Youth with combined lived and professional experience. Her love for youth work started when she was a young person herself. Jess was a participant in an organization focused on uplifting voices of youth who were experiencing foster care. She went on to also work for the organization. She has since been drawn to work in environments where she can help others. She hopes to bring her own knowledge of systems and experiences to Oasis to better serve young people. 

When Jess isn't working, she is most likely with her family, streaming a new series or movie. She enjoys new experiences and traveling. She dreams of one day starting her own business. She would also love to go back to school and pursue a degree in social work. 

Tyler Geisen (He/Him) Employment Case Manager

Tyler comes to Oasis for Youth with a background in non-profit work and education.  He attended Hamline University with a focus on English and Education.  After an AmeriCorps Public Allies Internship, he became passionate about working with others and helping people to achieve their inherent potential.  He loves to give back to his community, is a lifelong learner, and has dedicated the past 8 years to helping folks fight against generational and systemic poverty.  In his new role at OFY, Tyler is excited to further develop his skill set and contribute to a safe and welcoming space here at the Mall of America.  In his free time, Tyler enjoys cycling, board games, live music, camping, and nerding out on books, shows, and movies.  He is very excited to join our team in supporting youth and upholding Oasis’ values and mission.
